Meet Our Director
Hello! My name is Brittany Keen, and I am the Center Director for The Learning Grove Academy in Avon, Indiana! I have been in the early childhood education field for over five years, with experience as a behavior specialist, lead teacher and assistant director. I have my child development associate credential, and I am currently working toward my associate’s degree in early childhood education. I am truly passionate about my career, and I believe all children deserve a safe, supportive, individualized learning experience. As a member of the Area 31 Early Childhood Education Advisory Board and a host for Avon High School’s work-based learning students, I am devoted to ensuring I have the knowledge and tools to advocate for children, families, and staff alike.
I have lived in Indiana for about seven years, and I am originally from southern Virginia. You will hear me say I miss the mountains on occasion; there is nothing like home! I have one son who attends Avon High School. I also have two dogs and two cats, and I would adopt all the animals if I could! When I am not working, you can typically find me spending time with my family and pets or listening to audio books.
